We had the absolute honour of photographing Stanley a couple of weeks back at the end of spring. When Stanley’s mum – Cassandra, contacted us, he was in palliative care due to cancer. She told us that she doesn’t have much more time with him and was hoping for some nice photos of Stanley.
We made ourselves available for a session with Stanley the next day and met Cassandra, Stanley and Graham (Stanley’s brother, also a senior dog) in the early morning at Edinburgh Gardens. The light at sunrise was exceptionally gorgeous and the colours of natures were so lovely. We had a good mix of backdrop for our session; the vibrant natural foliage for natural look and the graffiti wall gave us a bit of an urban flair.
Sadly, Stanley passed away about a week after our session. We’re so thankful he had a good day and that we were able to capture this sweet little soul and the magical bond he shared with his mum.
Cassandra, may these photos of Stanley warm your heart always.
